Rate And CompensationThe successful candidate may be offered a position in either the Equipment Operator or Senior Equipment Operator classification.
The target hourly rate for the Equipment Operator is between $22.86 - $27.44; depending on qualifications.
The target hourly rate for the Senior Equipment Operator is between $25.21 - $31.51; depending on qualifications.

Depending On Qualifications, You May Be Hired As a Public Works Equipment Operator Or Senior Public Works Equipment Operator, Where You'll:
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to a backhoe, skid steer, excavator, and concrete truck.
- Support critical maintenance and construction projects to ensure the safe, efficient delivery of public services.
- Apply advanced technical expertise, lead work activities, and help develop effective solutions for complex operational challenges (Senior level).
