Position Summary:

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Technician supports preventive maintenance programs, leads field teams, and communicates effectively with customers and management. Operating company vehicles and utilizing digital tools to manage service calls are essential.

What

You'll Do
  • Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations.
  • Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
  • Manage service calls, coordinate with vendors, and document refrigerant usage per EPA standards.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
  • Competence in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with customers and team members.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring less-experienced technicians.
  • Proficient in using digital tools for scheduling, inventory tracking, and reporting.
