The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and performing preventive maintenance to optimize system performance. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to execute service calls, manage resources, and support operational needs.

Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and performing preventive maintenance to optimize system performance. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to execute service calls, manage resources, and support operational needs.

Adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with customers and colleagues are essential to ensure reliable and efficient facility services.

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics, ensuring compliance with building codes and operational standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues across commercial and industrial systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, reach-ins, and rack systems to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections and service activities following OSHA standards and EPA refrigerant handling protocols.
• Lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and promoting safety practices.
• Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory.
• Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
• Competence in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with teams and customers.
• Experience leading or mentoring technicians and managing service calls using digital tools.
