Summary
The Traveling Multi Trade Carpenter is a highly skilled craft professional responsible for performing a wide range of interior construction activities on tenant improvement renovation retail refresh and light industrial projects throughout the United States This is a travel intensive role requiring deployment to project locations nationwide in support of Sevans self perform operations Working under the direction of a Foreman andor Superintendent this role performs framing drywall ceilings doors hardware finish carpentry flooring preparation punch work and other non licensed interior construction activities Travel & Location Requirements Candidates must reside in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex Extensive nationwide travel is required
Employees should expect to travel to project locations for extended periods based on business needs
Company paid lodging travel accommodations and applicable per diem are provided in accordance with company policy
Read and interpret blueprints plans drawings sketches and specifications to determine project requirements Take measurements and calculate material quantities required for installation Perform metal stud framing backing installation and layout for interior construction projects Install gypsum board systems including drywall hanging patching and basic finishing activities Install doors frames hardware accessories and related interior components Install and modify acoustical ceiling systems ACT Perform finish carpentry and trim installation including base casing millwork and miscellaneous specialties Perform flooring preparation activities including patching leveling grinding underlayment installation and surface preparation Perform or support tile installation activities based on project requirements Complete punch list items and assist with project closeout activities Perform selective demolition and removal of existing materials as required Load unload transport and stage materials and equipment Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment Execute assigned work activities under the direction of the Foreman and coordinate effectively with project team members
Perform work with minimal supervision and support the development of less experienced craft employees
Travel to project locations as required Participate in safety meetings training and company safety initiatives Other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program preferred
Three 3 or more years of commercial construction tenant improvement interior renovation retail hospitality industrial or related construction experience preferred
Experience performing multiple interior construction disciplines including metal stud framing drywall installation acoustical ceilings ACT doorsframeshardware finish carpentry flooring preparation and punch list activities
Experience performing selective demolition material handling and project closeout activities
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and related construction documents
Competent use of hand tools power tools equipment and measuring devices commonly used in commercial construction
Experience working on occupied facilities renovation projects or active construction environments preferred OSHA 10 certification required or ability to obtain; OSHA 30 preferred
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States

Pay range 30 40 per hour Actual pay depends on education experience and performance
