Python Software Engineer

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Python Automation Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity in Plano, TX.

• Design cross cloud and onprem solutions for security, compliance, and analytics
• Build automation for control monitoring, evidence collection, and remediation across environments
• Develop production code in Python and Go; contribute to Java components when needed
• Implement policyascode guardrails in build and release pipelines. Orchestrate workflows with Kubernetes and workflow services such as Step Functions
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and related tooling

• 5 years of software engineering experience
• Handson system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficiency in Python and backend and automation use cases
• Experience with CI/CD and secure development practices
• Practical experience on Azure and AWS, plus ability to build on onprem platforms
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized workloads
• Experience with build pipelines and tooling such as Jenkins
• Ability to create analytics from telemetry (metrics, logs, traces) and build dashboards
• Understanding of audit, compliance, and security controls in regulated environments
• Experience with workflow orchestration (e.g., Step Functions) or equivalents
• Effective collaboration and communication in agile teams
