Software Engineer, Backend Developer, Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in web-based front-end and back-end technology stacks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in full software development life cycle (SDLC), software deployment, release management, and ongoing technical support. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications and backend services, managing production environments, troubleshooting infrastructure, and providing technical user support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain large web applications, small tools, and scripts based on user requirements, typically hosted on Linux-based systems.
• Build and maintain interworking between applications using REST APIs and modern web technologies.
• Install, manage, and support both monolithic and cloud-centric applications in production environments.
• Maintain and enhance commissioning and integration tools and software.
• Develop web UI components and back-end services, including database services, synchronous/asynchronous communication, and microservices architecture.
• Administer software applications and provide front-end and back-end user support.
• Diagnose, report, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot production applications, including server and network infrastructure.
• Provide technical training and support for end users on managed tools.
• Work with stakeholders to improve application performance, stability, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with technical leads and cross-functional teams to enhance existing tools and capabilities.
• Participate in an L1 support team rotation during business hours (one-week blocks).
• Troubleshoot and fix software bugs in a structured, timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years of software development and testing experience, with at least 2 years focused on developing web-based applications.
• 1-2 years of experience working with virtual machines (VMs).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and software release management processes.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments, including building, troubleshooting, and executing applications and scripts.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and Linux Shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of web services and web application development concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Python-based application frameworks.
