Lead iOS Developer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead iOS Developer with at least 10+ years of experience to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of innovative mobile applications for iOS, focusing on delivering exceptional user experiences. As a Lead iOS Developer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to define project scope and ensure that the technical specifications align with business goals.

You will play a crucial role in mentoring junior developers, fostering a culture of best practices within the team, and driving the adoption of new technologies.

• Lead the development and delivery of high-quality iOS applications.
• Coding, testing, and deploying native iOS applications, ensuring they are user-friendly, secure, and conform to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
• Ensuring maximum performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications while fixing bugs and identifying bottlenecks
• Working with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers to create new features and integrate with API services
• Keeping up-to-date with new technologies, Apple s design principles, and, programming trends to maximize development efficiency.
• Maintaining code quality, implementing app updates, and ensuring application security

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Palo Alto, CA or Plano, TX.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience developing native iOS applications using Swift and/or Objective‑C, along with prior experience leading a team.
• Extensive experience in Xcode, Cocoa Pods, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong understanding of Apple s design principles, API integration (RESTful APIs), and offline storage

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
