Azure Databricks Lead Developer

Job Description

Infosys is seeking an Azure Databricks Lead Developer. In this role, you will enable digital transformation for our clients in a global delivery model, research technologies independently, recommend solutions, and contribute to technology‑specific best practices and standards. You will provide inputs for identifying best‑fit architectural solutions for projects, develop application design, offer support and guidance to project teams on complex coding and issue resolution, and ensure high‑quality technical solutions in compliance with corporate guidelines.

The position requires frequent travel within the US and assumes effective telephone, email, or face‑to‑face communication. You will be part of a learning culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, excellence, and values diversity.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX, or be willing to relocate. Travel within the US may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or at least three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of education.
• Minimum four years of experience in Information Technology.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer‑based visa sponsorship. Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Azure and Databricks.
• Proficiency with data‑engineering tools:
  Spark, Kafka, Airflow, SQL, Python.
• Strong understanding of retail or CPG data domains.
• Experience with vector search and semantic retrieval for retail use cases.
• Expertise in data privacy and compliance in consumer‑facing environments.
• End‑to‑end experience implementing data warehouses and data marts.
• Knowledge of Data Vault and dimensional modeling.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD platforms such as Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, Azure Pipelines, and Jenkins.
• Experience designing and implementing complex solutions for distributed systems.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.

• Experience with Teradata.
• Hands‑on experience in data migration solutions.
• Relational, dimensional, and unstructured data modeling expertise.
• Familiarity with log and monitoring solutions.
• Experience using development containers, unit testing, code‑quality review, linting, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development frameworks.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in diverse, multi‑stakeholder environments involving business and technology teams.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
• Deep knowledge of master data management, ETL, data quality, metadata management, data profiling, micro‑batches, and streaming data loads.
