Senior Application Engineer

Plano, TX - onsite 5x a week

Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 DOE plus annual bonus

We are working with our client that is hiring a Sr. Applications Engineer to support and optimize critical banking systems including core banking, digital banking, and account origination platforms. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives in complex banking environments and enjoys being deeply involved in application administration, integrations, and troubleshooting.

• Administer and support core banking and digital banking applications
• Execute system patching, upgrades, and maintenance
• Manage integrations, APIs, and data feeds across platforms
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and lead root cause analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure system stability
• Support high-availability customer-facing banking services

• Senior-level application engineering or systems administration experience
• Banking domain expertise (core banking, deposits, payments, lending, or digital banking)
• Hands‑on technical skills (not a PowerPoint role)
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
