Java Full Stack Developer

As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with at least 8+ years of experience
, you will play a key role in designing and developing scalable, high-performance applications and microservices using modern technologies. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team, collaborating with cloud architects, Dev Ops engineers, and front-end developers to deliver innovative solutions.

• Design and develop user-friendly web applications using Angular and Java.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support front‑end functionality.
• Implement microservices architecture to enhance application scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to improve application usability and performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and security.

We believe hybrid work is the way forward, providing flexibility wherever possible. This role requires 3 days per week onsite at a client or Cognizant office in Jacksonville, FL or Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

• Minimum of 7+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 5+ years working as a Java Full Stack Developer or in a comparable role.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with microservices architecture and development practices.
• Familiarity with front‑end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Understanding of database technologies like SQL and No

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud‑native development and serverless architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure Boards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
