Application Developer - Senior

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Technical Lead with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices, and Git Hub to lead the design and development of high‑volume, multi‑platform application systems. This role combines hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, offering the opportunity to architect scalable microservices‑based solutions while mentoring engineers and driving best practices in CI/CD, cloud, and Dev Ops environments.

Pay range: $65/hr on W2 to $70/hr on W2

• Lead the technical design and hands‑on development of cross‑functional, multi‑platform application systems.
• Provide functional and technical leadership while mentoring and coaching software engineers.
• Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, Engineers, and Business stakeholders to define system requirements and technical priorities.
• Develop high‑quality, scalable, and maintainable code with a strong focus on automated testing and validation.
• Design and implement microservices‑based architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and event‑driven systems using Kafka or messaging technologies.
• Enforce best practices related to architecture, security, compliance, and development methodologies.
• Perform complex engineering activities including performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support.
• Implement, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub and related tools.
• Support cloud‑native deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of related professional experience in software engineering.
• 6+ years of experience building high‑volume, high‑transaction Java‑based web or e‑commerce applications.
• 6+ years of hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful services.
• Strong experience with Kafka and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience working with Git Hub for version control and CI/CD workflows.

• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing Microservices architecture.
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role mentoring engineers and driving engineering standards.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Open Stack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
• 2+ years of experience with build and CI/CD tools such as Git Hub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, or Sonar.
• Experience with No
  
  SQL technologies (Cassandra, Mongo
  
  DB), Redis/Hazelcast, and messaging tools (Kafka, MQ, Rabbit
  
  MQ).
• Familiarity with Jira and Agile development methodologies.
