Principal Application Developer

We are seeking a Principal Application Developer to serve as a critical liaison between Business, Network, and IT, shaping the future of our application landscape. The candidate plays a key role in designs, developing APIs/services, data flows, and integrations with upstream/downstream systems, and maintaining industry‑leading solutions that drive business transformation and operational excellence. The candidate will lead end‑to‑end design and development for application features, enhancements, and fixes, owns solution design for features/enhancements, reviews designs, and guides implementation.

You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with business, Network, and IT stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable technology roadmaps.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Springboot, Microservices, and modern cloud technologies.
  • Analyze business requirements and propose innovative, cost‑effective solutions from ideation to production.
  • Lead solution design sessions, ensuring scalability, operational excellence, and alignment with customer needs.
  • Mentor development teams, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide hands‑on development for complex components, resolve critical defects, and support production issues.
  • Track and report on IT portfolio metrics, project timelines, and delivery status to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to clarify requirements, align priorities, and maintain delivery transparency for stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, plus 9+ years of progressive experience in software development and solution architecture.
  • Extensive hands‑on expertise with agentic AI, AI‑assisted development, and LLM‑based application patterns, including Python, Lang Chain/Lang Graph, prompt workflows, tool integration, and responsible AI practices.
  • Proficiency with AI tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude, Windsurf, and agent‑based coding, as well as expert‑level skills in Java, Springboot (REST, MVC, Security), Microservices, and modern cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom industry standards, business processes, and technology solutions.
  • Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Bitbucket, Kafka, Jenkins, Git, Open Shift, AKS, and cloud‑native development.
  • Proven ability to gather, document, and analyze complex business and technical requirements, lead solution design, manage product backlogs, and guide Agile sprint/release planning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, including mentoring teams, conducting technical reviews, and maintaining documentation repositories.
  • (Preferred) Experience in end‑to‑end business process optimization and IT portfolio management.
