Lead Cybersecurity Architect – Overview
As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect within the JPMorgan Wealth Management group, you are integral part of a team that develops high‑quality cybersecurity solutions for software applications and platform products. You drive significant business impact and help shape target architecture through deep technical expertise and problem‑solving methodologies to tackle diverse cybersecurity challenges across multiple technology domains.
Job Responsibilities- Drive architectural decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Lead evaluation of current technology and assessment of new technologies using established standards and frameworks.
- Represent product families in technical governance bodies and architecture forums.
- Propose improvements and provide feedback to architecture governance practices.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert across architecture domains.
- Advocate for firm‑wide frameworks, tools, and practices within the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Influence peers and project stakeholders to adopt leading‑edge technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
- Ensure alignment of architecture with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience in the architecture discipline.
- Demonstrate hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
- Possess deep expertise in software architecture, applications, and technical processes.
- Apply practical experience with cloud‑native architectures and platforms.
- Tackle design and functionality challenges independently with minimal oversight.
- Evaluate and recommend current and emerging technologies for future‑state architecture.
- Deliver high‑volume, large‑scale, and highly resilient enterprise solutions.
- Communicate effectively and manage stakeholders across business and technology teams.

- Apply experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
- Apply hands‑on cloud experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Exhibit expertise in web and mobile application security.
- Possess prior experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Understand regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
