Join the Enterprise Supervision team at Tyler Technologies as a Software Engineer supporting our Integrations Platform. You'll be working alongside a tight-knit team of engineers and architects who have designed and built our next-generation, event-driven integrations platform from the ground up. We're looking for a skilled developer with strong Type Script experience who is also comfortable working in Golang.
In this role, you'll help design and evolve scalable serverless microservices, shared libraries, and integration patterns that connect product domains across our platform. If you enjoy working asynchronously, writing thoughtful design docs, and solving hard integration problems at scale, this is the team for you.
Hybrid Work Policy:
This position requires a minimum of 3 days per week in our Plano, TX office.
Design, build, and maintain AWS serverless microservices using Lambda, SQS, SNS, Dynamo
DB, Step Functions, API Gateway, and Event Bridge.
Develop and evolve shared Type Script libraries covering config management, observability, HTTP client, and schema contracts consumed across services.
Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS SAM and Cloud Formation.
Implement event-driven integration patterns that enable interoperability across product domains.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Vitest; leverage Local Stack for local AWS service emulation.
Participate in Architecture Reviews for breaking changes and contribute to design discussions.
Manage package versioning and releases via Changesets and Git Hub Packages.
Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Product, and Dev Ops teams within Agile development cycles.
Qualifications3+ years of professional Type Script/Node.js development experience.
Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services including Lambda, Dynamo
DB, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, with AWS SAM or Cloud Formation preferred.
Solid understanding of event-driven and integration-centric architecture pattern.
Experience working in a monorepo with pnpm work spaces or similar tooling (Nx, Turborepo).
Comfortable with semantic versioning, change sets, and package publishing workflows.
Familiarity with observability tooling including structured logging, distributed tracing, and metrics (AWS Powertools a plus).
Experience writing tests with Vitest, Jest, or similar; comfortable with local cloud emulation using Local Stack
Familiarity with JSON Schema, runtime validation libraries (Zod, AJV), or schema registry patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Prior work on government, justice, or public safety software platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS Cognito and IAM-based authentication patterns.
- Exposure to data transformation and mapping systems such as JSONata or JSONPath.
