About the Role

The Software organization develops the applications that drive missiles, launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control and other complex systems, as well as the integration and test software. This position is for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Surveillance Sensor Radio Frequency (RF) Solutions Engineering Team in the Dallas, TX area.

You will learn advanced software engineering practices and apply new technologies to develop next generation capabilities that help keep our country safe.

What You Will Do
  • Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real-time software within heterogeneous systems composed of firmware and hardware.
  • Work within a cross-discipline team to define, refine, and improve product concept, implementation, testability, and guaranteed, measurable quality.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to proposals as well as preliminary and critical design reviews.
  • Travel occasionally for business-related purposes.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related languages.
  • Development experience on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real Time Operating Systems.
  • Experience developing complex systems involving integration of hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Job is onsite in Plano, TX (TX217); applicants must be in the area or willing to relocate.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with Windows OS, VM/container and reverse engineering.
  • Experience with product development utilizing Scrum techniques of the Agile software development process.
  • Experience with Dev Sec Ops  pipeline implementation and use, including Static Code Analysis, Automated Build, and Automated Test techniques using continuous integration/continuous delivery and Test-Driven Development approach.

  • Salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
