【Summary】The Triage Software Engineer is responsible for performing initial analysis and triage of defects before they are assigned to development teams. This role ensures quick and accurate categorization of issues, effective communication with cross‑functional teams, and the creation of reports and dashboards to support project management and defect resolution.
【Essential Duties】- Perform high‑level defect analysis to identify environmental/setup issues, distinguish between IVI and server‑side issues, and assign defects to the correct queue (HU, Server, Tier1, Tier2, etc.) as early as possible.
- Continuously monitor the defect dashboard.
- Lead defect triage calls and collaborate with PO, Evaluation, and Development teams to clarify issues and track them to closure.
- Create dashboards and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Summarize key points, reduce ambiguity, and drive issues toward resolution.

【Qualifications】- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to evaluate and identify issues at the code level.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams to deliver successful products.
- Self‑starter with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in the Automotive Infotainment domain.
- Hands‑on experience with embedded software development in C/C++/Linux.
- Knowledge and experience with JIRA, Confluence, and log analysis tools.
- High‑level system architecture understanding (software design, sequence diagrams, APIs, HTTP error codes).
- Familiarity with Linux commands and utilities.
- Basic Python scripting skills.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to respond promptly, confidently, and effectively to unforeseen situations (unexpected questions, obstacles, or opportunities).
- Experience designing, developing, and debugging software in a real‑time embedded environment.
- Knowledge of DLT logs, use of DLT-Viewer, and applying filters within DLT logs.
