Job responsibilities

* Advises and leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives

* Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

* Makes decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures

* Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations

* Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains

* Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

* Champions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience

* Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

* Expert in one or more programming language - Python

* Demonstrated prior experience with influencing across functions and teams and delivering value at scale

* Extensive experience in building and running AWS/public cloud based applications

* Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists

* Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent

* Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based infrastructure solutions.

* Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation.
