Lead Software Engineer – Java Data Engineering
Location: Plano, TX (Onsite – 4 days/week)
Duration: 5 Month Contract

Seeking a Lead Software Engineer with strong Java and Data Engineering expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise data pipelines and backend processing solutions. This role will focus on ingesting, validating, transforming, and integrating large volumes of data while supporting enterprise identity, access governance, and cybersecurity initiatives.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing Java-based backend applications, building high-performance data pipelines, optimizing database performance, and integrating data across enterprise platforms. Experience with identity governance solutions such as Cyber Ark and SailPoint is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities Data Engineering & Pipeline Development- Design, develop, and maintain high-volume data ingestion pipelines.
- Build scalable backend services for data validation, transformation, and processing.
- Develop ETL/ELT solutions to integrate data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Implement business rules for risk assessment and data processing.
- Support large-scale batch and real-time data processing.
- Develop enterprise applications using Java.
- Design RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
- Design and optimize relational database structures.
- Perform SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
- Develop indexing strategies and efficient data models.
- Manage large-scale datasets and complex update logic.
- Integrate data across internal and external enterprise systems.
- Support identity governance and privileged access management integrations.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Perform code reviews and peer mentoring.
- Utilize Git Hub for source control.
- Support CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
- 5+ years of Software Engineering or Data Engineering experience.
- Strong Java development experience.
- Experience building enterprise data ingestion frameworks.
- Experience developing scalable backend processing applications.
- Strong SQL and database development skills.
- Experience with:
