We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and integration of Guidewire solutions in a Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Guidewire Policy Center
, Guidewire integrations, GOSU development, Java, and insurance domain processes. This role will be responsible for leading technical implementation efforts, mentoring development teams, and driving integration architecture across enterprise applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain Guidewire Policy Center integrations with external systems including rating engines, payment gateways, document management systems, and core insurance platforms.
- Lead the architecture and design of complex integration solutions using Guidewire best practices.
- Develop and configure SOAP and REST-based APIs for seamless system integration.
- Implement and support messaging solutions using Kafka, JMS, and Guidewire messaging frameworks.
- Develop custom Guidewire plugins and extensions to support policy lifecycle events and business workflows.
- Create and maintain data mapping, transformation, and error-handling strategies for integrations.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to development teams.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Dev Ops, and Cloud Operations teams throughout the SDLC.
- Support end-to-end testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and defect resolution across development, QA, and production environments.
- Optimize application performance and ensure adherence to Guidewire development standards and best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Support production deployments, release management, and post-production monitoring.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire Policy Center development and integrations.
- Proficiency in: GOSU/Java/SQL
- Strong understanding of Guidewire architecture, components, configuration, and integration frameworks.
- Experience designing and implementing SOAP and REST API integrations.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and JMS.
- Strong experience developing custom Guidewire plugins and integrations.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, integration patterns, and system architecture.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform implementations.
- Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain knowledge.
- Understanding of insurance policy lifecycle, underwriting, billing, and claims processes.
- Experience with Guidewire Claim Center and Billing Center.
- Experience working with Dev Ops tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments.
- Exposure to enterprise integration platforms and microservices architecture.
- Prior experience leading distributed onshore/offshore teams.

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
