Position:
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Location:
Plano, TX (Onsite). Applicants must be in the area or willing to relocate.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities- Develop software rapidly while performing job responsibilities outside of the typical software role such as requirement discovery, software security, operating system configurations, and product support.
- Develop software in many different languages with a focus on rapidly integrating software components into a customer deployed product while maintaining product quality, configuration management, and end‑user satisfaction.
- Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real‑time software.
- Work within a cross‑discipline team to define, refine, and improve product concept, implementation, testability, and guaranteed, measurable quality.
- Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
- Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
- Participate in occasional business‑related travel (5–10%).
- Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant engineering experience, typically a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real‑time software applications written in C++ or closely related languages.
- Experience in computer scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
- RHEL OS experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance (and Top Secret preferred).
- Experience with Windows OS, VM/container, and reverse engineering.
- Experience with product development utilizing Scrum techniques of the Agile process.
- Experience with Dev Sec Ops pipeline implementation and use, including Static Code Analysis, Automated Build, and Automated Test techniques using continuous integration/continuous delivery with Test‑Driven Development approach.
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
Salary range: $86,800
USD–$165,200
