Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining robust Playwright-based automation frameworks
• Developing automated test scripts in Python
• Integrating solutions into CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling within Visual Studio Code
• Driving test automation adoption and maturity
• Improving framework performance and reliability
• Reducing manual effort through automation and AI-assisted development
• Enabling regression and in-sprint testing

• 7+ years of software testing experience with a strong focus on automation
• 7+ years of hands‑on automation development experience
• Strong experience with Playwright automation framework
• Hands‑on coding experience in Python for test automation
• Experience using Visual Studio Code as primary IDE
• Experience with Playwright CLI / command-line driven test execution
• Proven experience building and maintaining modular, reusable, scalable automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of API testing and UI automation strategies
• Experience with PyTest or similar Python‑based testing frameworks
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into build workflows
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot
• Experience with in-sprint automation strategies
• Deep understanding of SDLC and QA lifecycle (testing planning, test design, execution, defect tracking and reporting)
• Domain knowledge of banking / financial systems

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 a year
