Overview

Crowe is looking to hire a Software Engineering Specialist to help build and modernize solutions for Crowe's Audit services within our Product Engineering practice. This role offers impact across Audit's product portfolio and innovation initiatives, embracing a flexible, high‑impact mindset.

About the Team

The Technical Insights Team is part of the Technology business unit within the Product Engineering delivery organization. Team members combine business analysis, Agile product ownership, and delivery leadership to translate business strategy into actionable product requirements, guide development teams through iterative delivery, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver software for Audit's flagship products and innovation team to drive the discovery and delivery of high‑value features.
  • Ramp quickly into new teams and begin contributing meaningfully with minimal onboarding.
  • Engage with Agile Scrum teams for feature development and delivery, adapting to each team's cadence.
  • Leverage Azure PaaS services to deliver business value efficiently at scale.
  • Build and integrate AI solutions that align with audit quality and transparency.
  • Use AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery.
  • Collaborate with audit practitioners and product teams to refine requirements and translate business needs.
  • Consult with teams and architects to build consensus on architectural approaches.
  • Embrace a Shift Left mindset, weaving quality into the development lifecycle.
  • Proactively surface and address impediments to help teams meet sprint objectives.
  • Collaborate in establishing, reviewing, and upholding software development practices and architectural standards.
  • Troubleshoot product issues quickly across a range of systems.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience with an n‑tier architecture, Microsoft technology stack, and .NET framework.
  • Strong experience with ASP.NET and modern client‑side development in React or Angular.
  • Experience building applications on SQL Server, using T‑SQL, stored procedures and Entity Framework or comparable ORM.
  • 1+ year designing and implementing AI‑assisted workflows and solutions using large language models on a major platform such as Microsoft Foundry, Anthropic, or OpenAI.
  • Experience optimizing prompts, context management, and token usage to improve response quality while managing performance and cost.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI coding assistants such as Git Hub Copilot.
  • Solid understanding of OOP and ability to apply inversion of control and unit testing for loosely coupled architectures.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops (or similar work‑item tool) and Git.
  • Ability to conduct thoughtful code reviews and collaborate to improve solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build trust quickly with new teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a scaled Agile (SAFe) program.
  • Experience with SharePoint development.
