A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Gen AI Architect/Engineer to help design and deliver next-generation AI solutions that improve operations, enhance decision-making, and support better outcomes across the business. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, applied AI, and enterprise data, partnering closely with technical and business leaders to turn emerging AI capabilities into scalable production systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in technology architecture, with deep experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions in complex environments. This person will have hands‑on exposure to modern generative AI patterns, including large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation, vector search, and AI agent frameworks, along with the ability to guide teams through solution design, integration, and deployment.
- Lead architecture and technical design for GenAI and AI/ML solutions across the enterprise.
- Define scalable patterns for LLM‑based applications, RAG workflows, vector databases, and AI agents.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to support unstructured data processing, document intelligence, and NLP‑driven use cases.
- Partner with infrastructure and platform teams to ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, and cloud‑ready.
- Guide integration with data lakes, warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and microservices.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud‑native AI services and deployment approaches across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical AI architecture and implementation plans.
- Establish best practices for performance, governance, observability, and responsible AI adoption.
- 10+ years of experience in technology, architecture, software engineering, or a related technical role.
- 2+ years of direct AI/ML experience, with exposure to generative AI solutions.
- Strong foundation in AI/ML, deep learning, and modern GenAI architectures.
- Hands‑on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and AI agents.
- Experience working with unstructured data, including NLP, OCR, and intelligent document processing.
- Solid understanding of data engineering and analytics ecosystems, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including AI services.
- Experience with microservices, APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to influence technical direction and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Healthcare industry experience.
- Experience delivering AI solutions in regulated or highly secure environments.
- Familiarity with model governance, responsible AI, and deployment lifecycle management.
