Senior Java Developer

Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications within Financial Crimes technology. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs, as well as providing application support. The developer will work closely with business partners to define system requirements and recommend innovations that provide a competitive advantage.

• Develop complex requirements for applications in Financial Crimes technology.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs and support activities.
• Collaborate with business partners to define requirements for system applications.
• Provide insight and direction from a data perspective and assess the impact on technology systems.
• Contribute to story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work.
• Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Handle technical aspects of the application, including change management, maintenance, and platform upgrades.
• Analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation.
• Communicate effectively with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables and timelines.

Experience: 7+ years of applicable experience in application development.

• Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate, MVC, Tomcat, and Web Logic.
• UNIX Shell scripting.
• Oracle 11g and data analysis.
• AngularJS, Web services, Maven, Jenkins, and Bit Bucket.
• Experience with a scheduling tool such as Autosys.
• Knowledge of SQL, Stored Procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and JUnit.

• Experience in providing solutions for web-based applications with a large user base and complex data.
• Proficient in SDLC, Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, and change management.
• Ability to engage with business stakeholders for requirement discovery.
• Effective communication and ability to work with remote and offshore teams.
