Who we’re looking forThe TFS Enterprise Document Management Platform team seeks a Lead Software Engineer to help scale enterprise solutions and lead a squad of engineers. The role requires strong backend or full‑stack experience and an ability to drive innovation while fostering collaboration.
What you’ll be doing- Collaborate with agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions.
- Work with product and cross‑functional partner teams to ensure alignment in priorities and timelines.
- Lead the design and architecture of new and existing platform‑level features (design patterns, reliability, scaling, backup & restore).
- Proactively communicate technical risks, trade‑offs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Define and champion engineering and operational excellence—code quality, testing strategies, observability, and deployment safety.
- Promote an inclusive culture where ideas of other tech leads are heard and championed.
- Lead the development of independent components and sub‑groups within the factory.
- Mentor internal talent and actively recruit to grow the engineering community.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend or full‑stack focus and a track record at a principal engineer level.
- Proven ability to design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs, including contract design, versioning, and error handling.
- Deep expertise in AWS architecture—EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB/Document DB, Event Bridge/SQS/SNS/MSK, S3, Cloud Front, Open Search.
- Experience with asynchronous communication patterns and brokers such as Kafka.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex production issues quickly and efficiently.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment strategies.
- Experience building observable systems to monitor performance, trace issues, and troubleshoot failures.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with product managers, architects, and engineers.
- Bonus:
Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or Open Tofu. - Bonus:
Proficiency in Bedrock Data Automation, AWS Textract, Transcribe, and other AI/ML solutions. - Bonus:
