Overview
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient movement of goods, materials, and products throughout the organization. This role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating shipments and deliveries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with warehouse, production, and transportation teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and process shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Track shipments and update internal systems with delivery status and inventory movements.
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts and audits.
- Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, or documentation.
- Operate office equipment and, as needed, warehouse equipment (such as pallet jacks or forklifts) in compliance with safety standards.
- Support the logistics team with administrative tasks and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and documentation.
- Understanding logistics, supply chain, and inventory management principles.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or inventory management systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience1-3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or a related field preferred.
Other Requirements- Goal-oriented and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
