Coleman Worldwide Moving is hiring CDL Drivers in your area. The role involves loading, transporting, and unloading household goods, leading crews, interacting with customers, and growing within the company. Candidates should have a clean driving record and comply with our zero-tolerance drug policy.
Essential Functions and Duties- Transport goods using a company truck.
- Lead the crew in loading shipments onto and off of the truck.
- Inspect shipments prior to loading for proper packing or wrapping.
- Perform accurate inventory of shipments.
- Assist as needed in loading trucks and/or containers for interstate movement.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of the truck and moving equipment (interior, exterior, straps, tensioners, walk boards, etc.).
- Maintain required documentation and paperwork for shipments, expenses, driver logs, and DOT regulations.
- Lift and carry household goods between residence and vehicle.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Willingness to travel locally, intrastate, and/or interstate.
- Ability to operate a box truck or tractor-trailer as applicable to your CDL qualification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Real , Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or equivalent driver’s license (preferred).
- Indoor and outdoor environments.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent squatting, bending, and stair use.
- Long periods of driving.
- 40 hours of vacation pay after 1 year of employment.
