Field Welder & Laborer Construction

Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Welder to join our construction and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in stick (SMAW) and wire (GMAW/FCAW) welding, with a focus on delivering high-quality welds in various field conditions. In addition to welding, the candidate will perform general laborer tasks and travel to various job sites as needed to support project completion.

This role requires precision, adaptability, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Perform stick welding and cutting tasks with precision and attention to detail.
• Use hand tools effectively to prepare materials for welding processes.
• Rig materials and components as needed for assembly or transport.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the construction site.
• Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
• Assist team with other labor Intensive tasks such as ground work.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Travel and reliable transportation are required.

Skills

• Proficient in various welding techniques, particularly stick welding wire welding and plasma cutting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience working on construction sites, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Ability to fabricate metal structures from blueprints or technical drawings.
• Skilled in using hand tools and operating cranes safely and effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
