Buyer Position
Lid Works is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team in an on-site role. The Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms while ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency. This position plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contracts, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills and will work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure uninterrupted production and operational success.

Key Responsibilities- Purchase materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
- Research, evaluate, qualify, and maintain relationships with suppliers based on cost, quality, service, delivery performance, and overall value.
- Solicit, evaluate, and compare vendor bids to ensure competitive pricing and optimal purchasing decisions.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and purchasing trends to minimize shortages, excess inventory, and carrying costs.
- Track purchase orders, monitor vendor performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier files, contracts, pricing agreements, and procurement documentation.
- Maintain and update the vendor database and inventory records.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure purchasing activities support operational needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the procurement function.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 to 7 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
- Proven experience negotiating contracts and supplier agreements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP or purchasing systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
