Hours: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm / 7:00 pm - 7:00 am / 4 days on 4 days off
While reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Electromechanical Technician is responsible for achieving a high level of reliability for plant equipment through performing tasks required to maintain equipment and minimizing downtime. This individual will use their training and knowledge to perform equipment/process/system maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, make repairs, and identify opportunities for improvement.
This is a skilled maintenance technician position, with roles including:
- Following all safety rules and procedures.
- Passing electrical skills and safety testing to become a qualified Category 2 worker.
- Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and improvements on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Supervising and mentoring maintenance staff.
- Participating in process improvements and projects.
- Maintaining electrical parts storage and documentation.
Requirements include:
- 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial setting focusing on electrical and electronic devices.
- Strong electrical and electronics skills, proficiency with control applications and software.
- Ability to work safely on electrical systems up to 480V.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and reading blueprints.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Continued education and technical knowledge maintenance required.
This position is in the Perimeter of the Store Plastics Plant in Plant City, FL.
