As a Material Handler – Return Logistics Associate, you’ll inspect and process returned products, determine customer credit eligibility using established guidelines, and accurately sort and document returned inventory. You’ll record disposition information, maintain inventory records, resolve data discrepancies, and communicate workload updates with leadership. You’ll also work closely with the Stanley Black & Decker quality team and help identify opportunities to improve processes.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect and process returned products
- Determine customer credit eligibility using established procedures
- Sort, label, and organize returned materials
- Record and maintain accurate inventory and disposition data
- Download and distribute reports using Excel
- Resolve inventory and data discrepancies
- Communicate with supervisors regarding workload and priorities
- Follow all safety procedures and facility policies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Power tool knowledge is a plus
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math, spelling, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and remaining active for most of the shift, lifting up to 40 pounds without assistance, and working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
