Schedule: 5 days per week, approximately 8:00 AM–6:00 PM

Ark Resource Group is assisting one of our verified employer partners with the hiring of an experienced Tire Technician / Light Mechanic for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity in Plantation, Florida.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience working with tires, wheel alignments, brakes, oil changes, and general light automotive maintenance .

The selected candidate will work in a professional automotive-service environment performing routine tire and mechanical services while helping maintain safe, reliable vehicles for customers.

The employer is looking for someone dependable, experienced, productive, and able to work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Starting compensation is $700 per week , with the possibility of a pay increase based on performance and demonstrated ability.

• Install, remove, repair, rotate, and service automotive tires.
• Perform tire balancing and related tire-service procedures.
• Perform wheel alignments using appropriate automotive equipment.
• Inspect and service vehicle braking systems.
• Replace brake pads, rotors, and related brake components when required.
• Perform oil changes and routine preventive-maintenance services.
• Assist with basic and light automotive mechanical repairs.
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, punctures, and unsafe conditions.
• Identify basic mechanical or maintenance concerns and communicate findings appropriately.
• Properly use automotive tools, lifts, jacks, alignment equipment, and tire-service machinery.
• Follow established workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
• Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Work independently while coordinating with other shop personnel when necessary.
• Provide professional and respectful service when interacting with customers or coworkers.

• Previous professional experience working with automotive tires and light mechanical services .
• Hands-on tire installation, repair, rotation, and balancing experience.
• Wheel-alignment experience required.
• Experience performing brake inspections and brake-service work.
• Experience completing oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance.
• General knowledge of light automotive mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely operate standard automotive tools and shop equipment.
• Ability to identify basic vehicle-maintenance and safety concerns.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a shop team.
• Ability to perform the physical duties normally associated with tire and automotive-service work.
