Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Role Description
Arcadis is seeking a Part‑time as Needed Construction Inspector to join our Construction Management Team in South Florida. The position is on a PTAN basis, meaning hours assigned will vary depending on workload. While some weeks will require a full‑time inspector, other weeks will have downtime, providing flexibility for those seeking variable working hours.
ResponsibilitiesThe Construction Inspector will observe and inspect contractor work, perform punch list inspections, review drawings and specifications, and prepare detailed daily activity and progress reports/photos. Additionally, the inspector will participate in project schedule and contractor invoice reviews.
- Maintain quality assurance requirements, approach, and monitor code compliance issues.
- Inspect and determine deviations from general compliance with Contract Documents; inform the contractor of required corrections professionally.
- Review submittals and other construction documents and recommend technical solutions.
- Attend and participate in construction meetings, safety meetings/updates, and project site coordination meetings.
- Monitor and document contractor resource utilization (labor, materials, and equipment) for field changes, and assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes.
- Verify equipment and materials installation for payment purposes.
- Maintain Payment Quantity documentation.
- Perform mathematical calculations as necessary during inspection activities.
- Ensure Arcadis’ project safety guidelines are being met when performing daily inspections.
- Travel locally for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, construction oversight, and related responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: 5 years of mechanical/civil/utility construction inspection experience.
Preferred Qualifications: 8 or more years of civil/utility construction inspection experience, experience with structural/mechanical/electrical inspection activities on infrastructure projects, NASSCO ITCP/PACP certifications, ACI or NICET certifications, OSHA 10 Safety and Confined Space Entry Training, and active participation in a regional or national professional association.

The hourly range for this position is $32–$45. Actual compensation varies based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
