Instructional Designer

The Gig:
Virgin Voyages is seeking an Instructional Designer with deep expertise in end-to-end instructional design, from intake and needs analysis through design, development, implementation, and evaluation.

• Instructional Design & Strategy – Own the full instructional design lifecycle, partner with stakeholders and SMEs, design learning journeys aligned to business goals, and continuously improve learning effectiveness using data and evaluation.
• Digital & Learning Experience Design – Design and develop engaging digital learning experiences such as eLearning, videos, simulations, microlearning, and blended solutions. Translate complex content into clear, learner‑centered experiences using visual and interaction design principles and modern authoring tools.
• AI & Innovation – Leverage AI tools to enhance instructional design, content creation, and assessment. Experiment with emerging learning technologies to improve speed, quality, and personalization.
• Facilitation & Delivery – Facilitate instructor‑led and virtual learning for audiences from frontline to senior leadership, support onboarding and leadership development initiatives.
• Measurement & Continuous Improvement – Build and implement evaluation strategies, analyze learner feedback and outcomes, and contribute to continuous improvement of learning processes and standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design, owning projects from needs analysis through evaluation.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design models, and performance‑based learning.
• Proficiency with digital learning design and development tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Synthesia, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
• Experience designing across multiple modalities: eLearning, instructor‑led, virtual, and blended learning.
• Strong stakeholder consulting, communication, and facilitation skills.

• Experience using AI tools for learning design, content creation, or analysis.
• Experience working with an LMS and learning analytics.
• Background in hospitality, service, or customer‑centric industries.
