We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support with a strong focus on leave management, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR operations. This role serves as a trusted partner to employees and managers, ensuring policy compliance, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Leave Management & Benefits Administration
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding all Leave of Absence (LOA) matters.
  • Partner closely with Lincoln Financial Group to administer FMLA, state-mandated leaves, parental leave, military leave, and company-sponsored leave programs.
  • Manage end-to-end leave administration, including eligibility reviews, documentation, communication, status updates, return-to-work coordination, and case resolution.
  • Educate employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Support benefits administration activities, including open enrollment and employee benefits education.
Employee Relations
  • Act as the initial point of contact for employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting concerns, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee-related inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Analyze employee feedback and inquiries to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
HR Operations
  • Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, internal transfers, and job changes.
  • Assist with performance management processes, goal setting, performance reviews, and manager coaching.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support HR reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with policy updates, employee handbook maintenance, and HR communications.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, compliance projects, and HR system updates.
  • Provide backup support to other HR team members as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
  • Prior HR experience supporting a retail environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, state leave laws, and HR compliance.
  • Experience working with third-party leave administrators; experience with Lincoln Financial Group is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with UKG HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple U.S. states.
  • Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration processes.
