The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive reports, dashboards, and data assets that transform complex data into actionable insights. This role bridges technical BI development and business analytics—combining strong fundamentals in Power BI, DAX, and SQL with the ability to interpret data trends, translate findings into business recommendations, and partner with operational stakeholders to drive informed decision‑making.
Local candidates only. This position is located in our Plantation, Florida office.
- Design and build scalable Power BI semantic models including star schemas, relationships, and reusable DAX measures that serve as the foundation for reporting and analysis.
- Develop and maintain production‑quality Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver clear, accurate, and meaningful insights.
- Write complex DAX calculations to create dynamic and interactive analytics solutions.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Source, connect, and integrate data from multiple systems and platforms to support reporting and analytical needs.
- Automate data refreshes and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all BI assets and reporting outputs.
- Identify gaps in reporting and recommend enhancements to better support evolving business needs.
- Design and deliver ad hoc reports based on evolving business requirements and specific queries.
- Conduct business analysis to identify performance trends, operational patterns, and opportunities for improvement, translating data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and department stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business units to gather analytical requirements, understand operational goals, and deliver insights that support strategic planning and performance monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of experience in BI development, with a focus on Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
- Experience working with data warehouses, data visualization, and large datasets.
