Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in compliance with state and specialty standards. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN delivers individualized care using the “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage” nursing model. The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and models the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipates patient needs, and proactively resolves them.
- Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
- Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes, and prepares them for future self‑management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Non‑violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Must have ED RN experience.
- Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine services.
