Assistant Professor of Finance
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for two full-time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Finance positions in the School of Business, with a start date of August 2026. These positions are located on the Platteville campus; applicants interested only in online teaching should instead apply for the School of Business Lecturer position.
Key Job Responsibilities- Teach four courses per semester, including undergraduate and graduate courses, across multiple modalities such as in‑person, online, or hybrid.
- Provide advising to students within and outside of the classroom regarding future careers in finance.
- Participate in the creation and distribution of scholarly work in alignment with the Boyer Model of Scholarship.
- Engage with professional associations and organizations to share expertise.
- Participate in service to the university and the business school through formal and ad‑hoc committees.
- Master’s degree in finance or a closely related field; a doctorate is expected to be conferred by year five for tenure consideration.
- Relevant professional experience in corporate finance, investment, banking, or related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to advise and mentor students.
- Professional credentials such as CFP, CTP, CFA, CPA, CMA are desirable.
- Candidates with expertise in accounting, economics, or management are encouraged.
Full‑time, 9‑month, benefit‑eligible, with a salary of $70, per academic year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
