Position Summary:
The College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Construction Management position, with a start date of August 2026. The Applied Engineering Technology Management Department offers three primary areas of study:
Engineering Technology Management, Construction Management, and Technical and Engineering Education.
This position will teach undergraduate courses in construction management, with a potential emphasis in construction safety, ranging from introductory to capstone levels, and contribute to the development of innovative, hands-on learning experiences using emerging construction technologies.

Key
Job Responsibilities:
* Teach undergraduate courses in construction management, ranging from introductory to capstone levels, incorporating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing content, and delivered through traditional and alternative instructional methods.
* Develop and deliver instruction using new and innovative construction technologies with a focus on applied, hands-on student learning.
* Assist with program oversight and engage industry stakeholders through advisory boards and professional peer groups.
* Serve as an academic advisor; contribute to curriculum development; maintain professional contacts; engage in scholarly activities and research; pursue professional development; and participate in university and community service.
* Advise relevant student organizations, as needed.
* Actively follow and promote applicable safety rules and regulations.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
Required Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Construction Management or a closely related field by the start date.
* At least two years of relevant construction industry experience.
* College-level teaching experience. Teaching as a graduate instructor or teaching assistant in construction-related coursework is acceptable.
* Ability to teach using technology, machines, and equipment in a hands-on laboratory environment, including mechanical or related technical systems.
* Experience or knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
