Summer School Age Program Lead Teachers

Summary

Great Beginnings Learning Center located in Platteville is seeking two caring, motivated, enthusiastic teachers to join our team of professionals for a summer school age program! Lead Teachers are responsible for general supervision and management of a group of children and planning and executing the educational program. These two specific positions are available roughly June 3rd - August 28th but we can be flexible.

Longer‑term candidates are also encouraged to apply and we can find a spot for you until a permanent lead teacher position opens up.

Great for a current teacher looking for summer work, recent graduate, or a student looking to gain experience with children and add to their resume!

Lead Teacher Position includes:

• Work off site at our summer location
• Interacting with children in a positive and educational way
• Creating lesson plans filled with summer fun and walkable field trips
• Ability to run a classroom on your own with up to 15 students
• Communicate with parents about their child's day with the use of our Brightwheel app
• Help set up/rotate play areas, clean, and maintain an organized classroom

• An understanding of child development
• A love for teaching young children
• Excellent communication skills
