The Department of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a one-year instructional academic staff, Lecturer, position to teach general chemistry lectures and laboratories. This is a full-time, nine-month, benefits eligible position starting in August of 2026.
Key Job Responsibilities- Teach a full time load (up to 18 contact hours accounting for 27-30 EMS Dean's Points) of general chemistry lectures and laboratories.
- Other duties as assigned.
- M.S. in Chemistry or closely related field with substantial experience in teaching chemistry.
- One semester of experience effectively teaching general chemistry lecture or laboratory.
- Proficient in oral and written communications in English and have skills needed to work with Microsoft Office.
- Two years of experience effectively teaching university-level general chemistry lecture or laboratory.
- Excel in oral and written communications in English and have skills needed to work with Microsoft Office.
- Extensive experience with Canvas or similar learning management system.
