The Disability Access Center at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville is accepting applications for a Testing Center Coordinator responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Testing Center, including scheduling, supervision of student employees, and the implementation of secure and accessible testing procedures. This position ensures compliance with institutional testing standards and supports the effective delivery, coordination, and evaluation of accommodated testing services to support student success and departmental goals.
The Testing Center Coordinator strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff. This is a full‑time, academic year (9‑month) position that typically works August through May, with summers off. This is a benefit‑eligible position with a salary of $40,000 per academic year.
The coordinator manages the daily scheduling and operational needs of the Testing Center to ensure efficient service delivery and a positive testing experience for students and faculty.
- Serving as the primary exam proctor or assigning qualified proctors as needed.
- Collaborating with faculty to coordinate exam requests, testing protocols, and schedules.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting Testing Center equipment, including computers, scanners, and related technology.
- Scheduling and assigning students to appropriate testing environments based on approved accommodations and testing requirements.
- Evaluating Testing Center operations and workflows and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and academic integrity compliance.
The coordinator is responsible for ensuring all testing procedures adhere to institutional policies and academic integrity standards.
