Position Summary

The Psychology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified instructor to teach General Psychology (PSYCHLGY 1130) on the Platteville campus. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy teaching and want to make an impact on students’ understanding of psychology.

This position requires in-person instruction on the Platteville campus; remote or hybrid teaching arrangements are not available.

In addition to this course, the department maintains a pool of qualified candidates for other instructional needs as they arise, matching expertise, availability, and departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate classroom instruction for one or more undergraduate psychology courses on the Platteville, Wisconsin campus.
  • Evaluate and assess student performance.
  • Participate in discussions on curriculum improvement and student learning assessment, as needed.
  • Attend relevant trainings related to teaching.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience, substantial professional experience, or relevant credentials in psychology.
  • Experience or comfort teaching General Psychology content; experience in other psychology areas is a plus.
Additional Information

This position is not eligible for relocation reimbursement, tenure, or Visa sponsorship. Start dates will vary based on instructional needs.
