Position Summary:

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking outstanding applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in electrical and computer engineering, with emphasis in computer engineering. Candidates with interests and expertise in traditional and emerging areas of computer engineering, including Internet of Things, Next Generation Computing, Wearable Systems, Computer Architecture, and Embedded Systems, as well as strong candidates from related areas of computing will be considered.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, conduct research, and provide community and university service. This is a full time, benefit-eligible position with a 9-month academic Appointment.

Salary Will Be Commensurate With Qualifications And experience.

Job Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility will be to develop and teach undergraduate courses in computer engineering and related Subjects. Other Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, conducting research and seeking extramural funding, developing curriculum, advising students and student organizations, participating in outreach including visits to industry and recruiting local students, and participating in department, college, and university service committees. The applicant is expected to teach some of the courses using alternative delivery methods including distance education.
