Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is

seeking a TRIO Student Support Services Tutor Coordinator to oversee the

tutoring component of the federally funded TRIO Student Support Services

Program. The program serves approximately 400 first-generation and

low-income college students, as well as students with disabilities, at

UW-Platteville. The Tutor Coordinator is responsible for the overall

coordination of the program s tutoring services, including hiring,

training, supervising, and scheduling tutors to support student success.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible, academic-year (9-month) position

that typically works August through May, with summers off. This is a

grant-funded, four-year position with funding through May 2030.

Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of future grant

funding. The salary is $45,000 per academic year. Key Job

Responsibilities:
Provides general oversight of the program s tutoring

component. Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates the program s

tutors. Schedules all tutoring sessions, reviews tutors  lesson plans,

mid-term and final evaluations, and coordinates related program

logistics and resources. Oversees and approves all tutee payroll.

Maintains respective forms and related record keeping. Assists the

director in the collection of required statistics, including preparing

and analyzing program data and outcomes and assisting with required

reports and program assessment activities. Provides excellent customer

service for student participants, tutors, and campus colleagues, and

serves as a resource regarding program services, processes, and student

support resources. Provides staffing and oversight for the STEM and Math

Help Rooms. Assists in the development and implementation of workshops

in the areas of financial literacy, course selection, graduate school

advising, and financial aid. Develops, edits, and maintains program

communications, informational materials, and other content to support

student outreach and program initiatives. Participates in occasional
