Position Summary

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Traffic Control Flaggers will perform traffic control duties and maintain safe work zones. Responsibilities include monitoring signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices; providing positive communication with the traveling public and co‑workers; and relaying traffic signals to ensure safety. The company will provide DOT certification training followed by on‑the‑job training, enabling advancement to laborer or equipment operator roles.

This is a full‑time seasonal position running May through October (weather permitting), requiring overtime and occasional Saturdays, with local and regional travel opportunities.

Position Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license is preferred.
  • Physical ability to work in all seasonal weather and environmental conditions in a moving highway work zone.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and remain attentive to traffic conditions and other factors affecting safety and production.
  • Ability to listen, take direction from others, and work as a team player while helping to train less experienced employees.
