Adjunct Faculty, Hospitality Management
The School of Business & Economics is internationally accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We offer students a broad-based education with a global perspective and emphasis on experiential learning. The Hospitality Management department prepares students for careers as modern day business professionals and has a need for Adjunct Lecturers beginning in the Fall 2019 semester.
The Food Operations Adjunct Lecturer will be responsible for instructing undergraduate level students in the area of food safety, sanitation, and basic cookery skills as well as various types of food service operations. Working closely with students in a laboratory environment to ensure proper management practices in a food service environment and acclimating students with different types of cuisine. This class meets Tuesdays from 8:00am-12:15pm.
The Restaurant Operations Adjunct Lecturer, in conjunction with another instructor, will be responsible for operating the food production component of the Thursday dinner lab at Samuel D's Restaurant including menu planning and procurement of the necessary products for the lab each week. Working closely with students in a laboratory environment to ensure proper management practices in operating a restaurant. Instructing students on the various types of food service operations, acclimating students with different types of cuisines and service styles associated with modern day restaurant and food service operations.
This class meets Thursdays from 2:00pm-9:30pm.

The successful candidate may be asked to teach courses in a distance learning format.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Three years of related industry experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and service in an institution dedicated primarily to undergraduate education
- A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff and administrators
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
