Manpower seeking an Engineering Technician II to support both office and field engineering work. In this role, you'll assist with drafting, design, construction review, surveying, inspections, and project documentation. This position is ideal for someone with solid technical skills who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and collaborating with engineers, contractors, and project teams.
** What You'll Do*
* + Create and update drawings using CADD for water and wastewater system designs.
+ Research codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
+ Support development of design documents, cost estimates, specifications, and reports.
+ Visit project sites to document existing conditions and observe construction progress.
+ Verify contractor work aligns with design intent and project specifications.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, maps, improvement plans, and construction documents.
+ Assist with drafting, engineering calculations, material testing, and quantity measurements.
+ Inspect construction projects and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
+ Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors.
+ Serve as a Resident Project Representative as needed.
** What You Bring*
* + Knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and engineering math.
+ Understanding of surveying procedures and construction materials.
+
Experience with drafting principles and CADD software.
+ Familiarity with public works construction (roads, drainage, sewer).
+ Ability to perform field measurements, calculations, and material testing.
+ Contract administration knowledge (preferred for some roles).
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
