  • Ensures the creation of industrial documentation, defines industrial master data, and establishes accurate manufacturing method times.
  • During the serial phase, the position drives continuous improvement initiatives and supports the industrialization of product and process changes to meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Specification & Preliminary Design Phase
    • Propose ideas and solutions to the Process Engineer or PIM to improve product manufacturability and achieve QCD targets
    • Contribute to product design reviews when required
    • Perform initial estimation of Method Time
  • Detailed Design Phase (Before Serial Go)
    • Participate in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA)
    • Support prototype validation activities, when applicable

    • Validate product design and industrial readiness through FAR (First Article Review) and FAI (First Article Inspection)
    • Calculate and validate detailed Method Time
  • Serial Production Phase (After Serial Go)
    • Industrialize engineering changes and retrofits (routings, work instructions, tooling updates)
    • Support production teams to achieve QCD targets
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., SWIP workshops)
    • Contribute to industrial Return of Experience (REX) on manufacturing processes
    • Ensure responsiveness in resolving technical issues in production
Requirements
  • Technical education (Engineering degree or Technician diploma in a relevant field)
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Desired Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably in the railway industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, including:

    • Configuration follow-up
    • Knowledge of Quality standards, EHS requirements, and ergonomics
    • Familiarity with industrial standards and tools (IS common tools)
    • Experience with:
      • Process FMEA
      • QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control)
      • Time analysis methods (MTM, MEK, UAS)
  • Conscientious & Reliable:
