Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced  Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)  for a travel assignment at a busy 341-bed Level III Trauma hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. This is a fast-paced community Emergency Department with high patient volumes and dynamic acuity levels.

The ED includes:

29-bed Emergency Department

4-bed Behavioral Health Unit

7-bed Fast Track
(All beds may swing to ER use)

Responsibilities

Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients

Manage high patient ratios (1:5+ depending on census)

Start IVs, perform EKGs, draw labs, and manage drips

Administer respiratory treatments

Manage boarded patients including M/S, LTC, Psych, and COVID

Participate in charge responsibilities

Utilize Epic EMR for documentation

Collaborate with respiratory, pharmacy, crisis clinicians, and advanced practice providers

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Active  New York RN License  (or proof of application at submission)

Minimum  1 year of ER experience

AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS required

TNCC (active or proof of class prior to start)

NIHSS certification

Recent  Epic experience (within past 2 years – required)

Ability to work every other weekend and holidays
